Refund policy
Returns & Refund Policy
Last updated: Jan 2026
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to all products sold by DJR Comps, whether operating as a sole trader (Daniel John Rose) or as a limited company.
It should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Shipping Policy.
2. Custom-Built Systems & Refund Eligibility
All DJR Comps computer systems are custom built to order.
- Once a system has entered the build process, orders cannot be cancelled.
- No refunds can be issued while a system is in progress.
- Any approved refund will only be processed after the system has been returned to DJR Comps, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This is compliant with the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations relating to customised goods.
3. Sale & Clearance Items
Sale and clearance items are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in cases of confirmed faults or defects.
All sale items remain covered by our 5 Year Warranty and are subject to the same warranty terms as full-price systems.
This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
4. Returns Conditions
Where a return has been authorised, the following conditions must be met:
- The system must be returned in its original packaging, including internal protection, accessories, cables, manuals, and any promotional items supplied.
- The system must be packaged securely to prevent transit damage.
- Returns that are inadequately packaged, damaged in transit, or missing components may be refused or subject to deductions.
Customers are responsible for the safe return of goods unless the return is due to a confirmed fault or error by DJR Comps.
5. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed within 14 days of refund approval.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
- Refund times may vary depending on payment provider or bank processing times.
Refund timelines begin from the date of approval, not from the date the return is requested or shipped.
6. Exclusions – Misuse, Modifications & Overclocking
Refunds and warranty claims may be refused if inspection shows evidence of:
- CPU, GPU, or memory overclocking beyond manufacturer specifications.
- BIOS or firmware modifications not supplied or approved by DJR Comps.
- Physical damage, liquid damage, dust ingress, or electrical damage.
- Component removal, replacement, or modification by the customer or third parties.
- Use of the system outside its intended purpose.
All systems are shipped tested, configured, and operating within safe manufacturer limits.
7. Warranty Claims
DJR Comps systems are supplied with a 5 Year Warranty, which covers hardware faults under normal use.
- Warranty claims must be reported as soon as an issue is identified.
- We may request troubleshooting steps, photos, or videos before authorising a return.
- If a fault is confirmed, DJR Comps will arrange repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modifications, overclocking, or user error.
8. Difference Between Refunds & Warranty Repairs
Refunds and warranty repairs are treated differently:
- Refunds are issued only where applicable and typically require a full system return.
- Warranty repairs may involve repair or replacement of individual components.
- A warranty repair does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
9. Contact & Return Authorisation
Returns or warranty claims must be authorised before any items are sent back.
